fever, cold, sore throat and pains quite frequently

Q. I get fever, cold, sore throat and pains quite frequently. What should I do to increase the immunity of my body? I have spoken to many doctors but they just say that it happens to some people. I am very depressed because of this. Please help me out?

A. You need to exclude nasal and sinus disease, by an endoscopy or CT scan, and acid reflux. These are the two most common causes for repeated sore throats in adults. Otherwise, just try multivitamins, Vit-C or ayurvedic preparations like Septilin. Avoid smoking and living in polluted environment, as these will worsen symptoms. Avoid smoking.
