Almonds are often called the king of nuts. They are a great source of vitamin E and have more calcium than any other nut. In traditional Chinese medicine, almonds are considered anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, emollient (soothing to the skin"), and a basic all-around tonic. They also help with alkalizing the blood and in ayurvedic medicine are said to nurture self-control and calmness of nerves and mind. Mmmm. . . I'm going to eat some almonds next time I'm stuck in traffic:)
Keep in mind Raw almonds are the best for you or sprouted almonds.
